A free program to get the whole family active. The goal is to walk a mile with your child and talk about a new topic each day.

Get moving and have fun with your kids!

Research shows that children are sometimes more comfortable connecting when they’re engaged in activities with you, like coloring, or cooking, or exercising. There’s something about being together side by side that helps get the ball rolling on good conversation. Do you know what you want to talk about when you have those golden moments with your kids?

That’s why we created Walk and Talk, a free program that invites you to walk a mile with your child and talk about a new topic each day. We provide a special mileage log to track the distance you walk, along with 26 conversation starter cards—one for each mile. After a month or so of family walks, you'll have walked the distance of a marathon (26.2 miles), and have gotten to know your child a little better along the way.
