Austin Area 2008-2009 Kick Off Celebration!

When:  Saturday, October 4th, 2008

• 9 AM event for AISD students
• 11 AM event for non-AISD students, including homeschools and private schools

Where:  University of Texas Mike Myers Track & Soccer Stadium

Free Parking is available in Manor Garage, Lots 70 and 99.  See the UT parking map for details.  Once on campus, follow the signage to this garage. 

If you have not yet registered yet, please plan on coming to the event, and contact us next week at jill@marathonkids.org.  Please note the program is only for K-5th graders.

If you cannot attend the event tomorrow, you may still participate in the Marathon Kids program.

•    Each child who crosses the finish line will earn a Marathon Kids Reward Water Bottle.
•    Parents/Guardians or Teachers MUST run or walk with kinder, 1st and 2nd grade children.
•    Schools and families sit alphabetically by school name and will be called down by section.
•    Dress for comfort.  Bring hats, sunscreen, and water!

Homeschoolers/Independent Families: Are you the parent of a homeschooler in the Austin area that wants to participate in Marathon Kids? Please send an email to jill@marathonkids.org with your name, address (including city, state, and zip), phone number with area code, and email, as well as your child’s name and grade level. 

Volunteers Needed:
Volunteers are the backbone of the Marathon Kids® program. Hundreds of volunteers help Marathon Kids in a variety of ways. If you are interested in volunteering at our Kick Off or Final Mile Medal Events in the Austin area, please contact Courtney@marathonkids.org.
